BETTY T. JOHNSTON
Owner / Vice President of Operations

DP7 Racing is honored to have the support of Betty T. Johnston, a successful business woman and our “First Lady of Racing” who cares and gives back to her community in helping those in need. Through her enormous generosity, her caring for others is clearly seen by her actions. Betty has always had a love for fast cars and now has the opportunity to enjoy the world of motor sports first hand.

Betty was a most deserving recipient of the first ever Impact Partner of the Year award in 2006. When IPP started as a grass roots organization, Betty was the first to sponsor Impact A Hero Weekend, and she continued that “tradition” by being the first to step up to the plate every year since.

Born in Shamrock Texas and migrated to Houston in 1962. One son and one stepdaughter have produced 7 grandchildren. These children and her family are the loves of her life. Her family along with her cattle business and charity work are the essence of Betty Johnston. Betty works with several charities in the city of Houston and has been a volunteer and life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo since 1976.

Betty believes that in giving to others she receives the biggest blessing of all. For her, there is truly no greater reward than seeing a person who is truly in need respond to the care and warmth of a gift from one who has so much.

Betty’s wish is to make a difference in the lives of our returning warriors. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank her sincerely for that desire, because for so many who have sacrificed so much, Betty does indeed make a great impact.
